Brit has been writing motor business since the 1930s under the guises of three Lloyd’s syndicates; Paladin, Anchor and RB Motor Policies.

An amalgamation over the preceding years of the three syndicates culminated in the formation of Wren Motor Policies at Lloyd’s in 1994.

Most recently Wren Motor has migrated into Brit Insurance Limited and has developed into a significant part of Brit Insurance’s business portfolio.

Brit is committed to a broker distribution model providing the highest standards of customer security and service by maintaining underwriting excellence.

The account predominantly attracts motorists in the age range of 30 to 45 driving standard as opposed to high performance vehicles.

Affinity groups in professional occupations are targeted, e.g. banking and the civil service.

The majority of the business is ‘screen’ quoted and processed via independent software houses. However, they do have the flexibility to underwrite ‘off screen’ on a bespoke basis.
